***** ONCOLOGY HOSPITAL SPECIALIST - NORTH WEST ENGLAND *****

Our client is s a global healthcare company which aims to improve the health, quality of life and well-being of people worldwide.  They manufacture and sell an innovative range of diagnostic and pharmaceutical products that focus on the needs of individuals, whether healthcare professionals or patients.

A vacancy has arisen within this prestigious organisation as a result of a forthcoming maternity leave for a Hospital Sales Specialist to join their Oncology team in the North West of England area (vacancy reference SR 2340).

Selling a specialist oncology product for the treatment on non Hodgkins lymphoma, you will call on relevant contacts at hospital level only in order to increase sales, engender key opinion leader advocacy and brand awareness.  Working as part of a high profile nationwide team, this would be a fantastic opportunity to sell world class products in an emotive and highly technical therapy area.  With sole accountability for your territory and resulting sales successes, on this occasion previous or current expertise in the oncology arena is absolutely essential, and all candidates interested in being considered must meet the following criteria:

• Preferably educated to degree (or equivalent) level in a scientific subject
• Proven track record of prescription drug sales experience at secondary care level within the UK plus evidence to support your successes
• ABPI qualified
• Knowledge of some of the hospitals on this territory
• Previously or currently employed as a dedicated hospital specialist - unfortunately GP/Hospital reps looking for their first secondary care only opportunity will not be considered, sorry.

 

Please note that this position will be to cover for a maternity leave (12 months), although the successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract of employment with the contract service organisation in question.

You should possess excellent long term business planning skills and have the ability to analyse and prioritise accounts according to their business potential; your enthusiasm and hunger to succeed, with an engaging personality are vital and should be able to hit the ground running'.  You will be able to work on your own initiative with a resilient manner & positive approach to your role.
