This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a blue chip company that has been creating innovative products that help make the world smarter, faster, healthier and safer for over a century. They are currently looking for a new NHS Business Development Manager covering the London and East of England to join a successful team.
This position involves working with key internal stakeholders to develop plans to deliver Medical Markets (Sterile Solutions, Skin Health & Commercial) sales targets by securing contracts and buying agreements with key secondary care NHS Purchasing Managers.
The successful candidate will drive new business opportunities within key accounts in the London and East of England region. Customers include procurement and senior management within NHS Acute and Primary Care Trusts, Procurement hubs and SHAs.
You will be responsible for developing organisation specific account plans to secure contracts and buying agreements with all collaborative procurement hubs, confederations and other NHS procurement groups in the assigned territory. You will also lead the negotiations process to secure contracts from the assigned procurement organisations as well as assisting in the development and implementation of the pricing and supply policy for the commercial sector. There are many exciting aspects to this role and it is ideal for someone with a sound knowledge of the NHS who wants to get their teeth into a more commercial role.
Profile
Ideally you will be educated to degree level and have a business, sales or marketing qualification. You will be an experienced key account manager with a proven record of sales development. The successful candidate will also have experience of project management and senior level negotiations. An understanding of secondary care NHS procurement and hands on experience of contracts and tenders is essential.
You will have strong leadership skills and be the ability to build strong and lasting relationships at a senior level. Results driven and able to think outside the box, you will be confident with good commercial acumen and the ability to deal with complexity.
