Sales Executive - Medical Devices
The company
Our client is an innovative medical devices company based just outside Cambridge. The company specialises in devices for ambulatory monitoring in application areas such as cardiology, physical activity, sleep, exercise physiology and obesity monitoring.
The job
Our client has recently launched a range of new medical devices which include miniature EEG/ECG/EMG waveform recorders as well as an electronic patient diary and is looking for a sales executive to be responsible for growing the business in the UK and Ireland.
It is anticipated that the successful candidate will spend approximately three days a week seeing prospective customers and two days a week in the office arranging appointments. You will also liaise with internal staff in generating leads for example by arranging mailings to prospective customers.
The candidate
We are looking for a bright ambitious professional sales person who is looking to advance their career. Ideally either a life sciences or business graduate you will have at least 18 months sales experience in a medical, engineering or life sciences environment. Any advanced qualifications in either business or marketing for example a CIM diploma would also be advantageous.
You will need to be capable working unsupervised as the majority of your time will be spent in the field seeing customers. The ability to multi task and good interpersonal skills are essential as you will be working as part of a small team.
