Main purpose of the job
You will lead all business development activities for our clients Surgical and Interventional Products business. Your responsibility will be to set the strategy for the business and execute significant personal sales, marketing and client management activities that result in continued growth of this major sector of our business.
Type of work undertaken by the division/group
The development of innovative medical devices and equipment from concept, through prototype manufacture to transfer to production. Projects often include considerable technical challenge. The Division undertakes development projects in the three focus areas of:
We combine highly creative lateral thinking with excellent technical skills and broad industry experience to form powerful development teams. Our work ranges from complete product developments to providing consulting services for our clients on their technology, strategy or development processes.
The Division undertakes both client funded and internally funded projects.
Specific responsibilities
You will be responsible for all aspects of Business Development for our Surgical and Interventional Products Business. You will:
You will also use your strong commercial and technical skills to make a significant contribution to the overall direction of development projects, often working on more than one concurrently. Whilst this position is based in Cambridge, UK, there will be international travel required (typically up to 25% of time)
