Sales Account Manager (Software Sector) - West Midlands area (Home Based) - £30-40K base (£70+ OTE)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Account Manager with a leading software provider of WEB based corporate portal (intranet / extranet) solutions. We are looking for a professional individual to work within the existing sales team as a client Account Manager. The current client base consists of over 140 customers across a variety of vertical markets including Local Authorities, Housing Associations, Financial Services, Educational establishments, Telecoms, Construction & Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical & Health, Retail and Entertainment sectors.

You will be responsible for the on-going development of the existing client accounts and maybe involved with some new business development. This will involve extensive liaison with clients from in pre-sales activities including attending presentations, conducting the sales process from a commercial perspective, gathering accurate prospect requirements and communicating them successfully to other parts of the organisation, answering tenders and requests for information.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and must be prepared to generate some of their own leads; therefore a good telephone manner is essential. Previous sales experience in the software sector of the IT industry is a pre-requisite although full training on the product will be given. Typical solution sales could include eCommerce, Web solutions, Intranet/Extranet solutions, Microsoft SharePoint solutions, CRM and other corporate based software solutions.

The successful applicant will also have the following attributes:

You will be comfortable working to a monthly revenue target as both an individual and within a team.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Lively personality with a positive attitude.
Be proactive and resourceful.
The ability to work as part of a team, yet be a self-starter and to be able to work with minimum supervision.
Ability to prioritise own work and get the job done.

Although the role is home and field based covering the Midlands and North, you will need to at the client?s offices in Newbury for an initial period of time to familiarise and learn about the products and any subsequent weekly sales/briefing meetings.
