Our client is a dynamic IT & Telecommunications company. Due to continued success there is a requirement for a Customer Account Manager to join the company.The primary objective of the Customer Account Manager is to manage 70+ customer accounts with full customer satisfaction. This is mainly an office based role however there will be occasional (once every two weeks or so) face to face visits to key customers. A driving license is essential for this position. This is a mixed and varied Customer Account Manager and Co-ordination role. The successful candidate will have worked in an IT or Telecoms company and have a good understanding of IT or Telecoms products. This is not a technical role or a Sales role but a Customer Account Manager role with excellent communication skills, good commercial awareness and exposure to IT or Telecoms products.
The Role
Quoting, purchasing and invoicing on IT and Telephony Hardware, Software & Services
Checking questions with account engineer before sending complicated quotes
All invoices, quotes and orders placed in Quickbooks (will be Dynamics CRM by Easter 2010)
Chasing customers for signed purchase orders
Ensuring customers understand (and comply!) with payment on delivery of all hardware & software
Ensure consistent communication with all accounts - verbal or visit at least once a quarter
Update internal order and job system -
Keeping tasks list and pipeline up to date.
Placing ADSL/ SDSL/Leased/analogue/ISDN line orders with BT/Obit and co-coordinating installation
Co-coordinating engineering site visits for customer accounts
Update QB Memorised Transactions (new, changes, deletions) as required,
Creating Job sheets for engineering on site visits
Dealing with Customer Complaints and queries (flag issues to management when necessary)
Weekly account meetings - 20mins
Registering and buying Domain names and changing DNS entries
Dealing with 3rd party suppliers on warranty issues
Action minutes of meeting, and chase customers to do their part
Attend Client review meetings
Have full knowledge and understanding of the services handbook
The Candidate
Someone that is able to multi task, hard working, organised, efficient and able to work under pressure. Having an IT technical background is a must but we do not need any hands on experience.
The individual needs to have advanced Word and Excel skills, and have a basic understanding on a computer and its parts.
Much of the role is not customer facing, so phone mannerism and communication skills need to be excellent.
The successful candidate must be able to work alone as well as in a team environment.
