Global Software business
With their ever increasing footprint in the UK my client is now looking to recruit an experienced Sales Director to help grow their loyal customer base for the enterprise' market specifically focussed to the north of England and Ireland. Responsibilities include managing and developing a team of Account Executives, generating new business in existing accounts and in new markets, as well as playing a key role in driving strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives for companies in the Enterprise Sector.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:
- The day to day management of a team of Account Executives including responsibility for performance management, recruitment and training.
- Participation in the strategic and technical territory planning
- Develops and executes territory plan to maximise revenue opportunities
- Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts and accurately predicts monthly revenues
- Supporting the sales process by developing "C" level contacts within prospect and existing accounts and by negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of sale.
- To build working relationships with other Sales Directors, Sales Engineering, Professional Services and Education to develop joint account plans
- Manages escalation process
Required Skills/Experience:
The Sales Director appointed to this position will be exceptional in both experience and ability. We would anticipate that short listed candidates for the position would have the majority of the following skills:
- A substantial quality background almost certainly within the enterprise software industry, with significant professional sales and man-management experience.
- Will have led teams responsible for major accounts and have experience of direct enterprise software sales in the enterprise solutions marketplace.
- Will have managed and successfully delivered complex solutions, sales bids and campaigns.
- Is likely to have worked with a major US multi-national corporation which is driven by quarterly results and to have held a management position within one or more of the recognised leading enterprise software vendors.
- An accomplished business manager who will be able to adopt a disciplined and entrepreneurial approach to their mission with a clear ability to capitalise and exploit the market opportunities.
- Will have a highly professional sales style and be able to negotiate comfortably and effectively at Board level. (web address removed) is looking to appoint a "lead from the front" Sales Director who is also able to prioritise and delegate.
- His/her professional sales management experience will enable them to successfully recruit high quality salespeople as appropriate.
- Will have an above average work rate, an ability to withstand stress and a tough but fair management style. This will be coupled with a personal drive to "get things done" and the ability to make effective decisions and see them through.
