Job Description

Sales Executive
Basic to £60,000-OTE £90,000+


My client, a fast growing SME with exciting future prospects, operates in the eCommerce sector and specialises in eProcurement.

With best in breed technology, a large referencable customer base and circa £1bn worth of transactions per annum, their service enables customers to make huge savings on transactional processing costs and to make a very swift ROI.

Currently the number one provider to the Public Sector they now plan to strategically enter the Private Sector where there is vast opportunity from what is a "Greenfield site".

The successful Sales Executives recruited to these new positions will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be focused on developing new business within the Private Sector.

Sales Executives are critical to my client's continued success and business growth. Demonstrating exceptional sales flair and expertise they focus on achieving new business opportunities, demonstrating the value of the proposition, winning sales pitches and increasing overall sales.

For the right candidate this also represents an opportunity for possible career development to the position of Sales Director.

  • Sales Campaign Management

The Person:

Successful candidates will most likely demonstrate the following competencies and aptitude:

  • Clear and demonstrable track record of sales achievement
  • A background in solution or services sales with a relatively complex offering. Experience selling IT, ERPs (eg Oracle or SAP), eProcurement/e-solutions or perhaps standalone finance systems would be extremely advantageous
  • The ability to initiate and cultivate relationships at board level - typically you will be pitching to either Head of Procurement / Procurement Manager or Finance Director
  • An excellent understanding of commercial drivers
  • Considerable corporate sales experience, employing a consultative approach to selling and exceeding sales targets for the majority of your career
  • A revenue focused and target driven approach to work
  • Excellent communication skills - an articulate negotiator and influencer
  • A resilient, tenacious attitude with proven ability at identifying and converting sales opportunities
