Central Government Sales Manager - IT Software

£63k Basic £115k OTE, £7.8k car allowance and good corporate benefits

We have a fantastic opportunity to work for a major IT software provider in the UK. Their award-winning solutions has made them a truly global solutions provider with widespread appeal. They are BSI registered and have been on the Times Top 100 employers list.

This is a key Sales managerial role with the responsibility of managing a Public Sector sales team (office based - London) who's primary responsibility is business development within Central Government Departments. It is a demanding role that requires strong leadership skills combined with the ability to inspire, motivate and positively effect performance in a competitive & challenging environment. The team comprises four direct sales people and two channel sales people responsible for selling through key system integrators.

Your key responsibilities will be to lead a sales team to deliver both individual and team targets on a monthly basis. You will prepare and deliver action plans that include personal development, marketing campaigns, seminars, coaching sessions, review meetings and field accompaniments days. You will schedule, plan & chair monthly team sales meetings to review performance and set ongoing objectives to achieve targets on a consistent basis. You will also liase with sales management for support and to provide feedback on all issues affecting team performance whilst closely monitoring and reviewing both individual & team performance to ensure that effective coaching is delivered as required.

We are looking for people with strong sales management experience (ideally within the software industry but we will consider strong candidate for other backgrounds) with direct responsibility for managing and leading field sales people. A proven track record of delivering outstanding sales growth is essential as well as an understanding of the Public Sector and SI market place. You will have proven direct sales experience and be highly articulate with excellent written and oral communication skills. You will be educated to degree level.

In return, benefits include 25 days holiday, with one extra day per calendar year up to a maximum of 28 days, Pension Scheme, Private Medical Insurance, Death in Service Benefit and Share Scheme and a £7800 per year car allowance.
