Business development role for a leading provider of technology-based loyalty/retention services.

About the Client

My client is a privately owned organisation that operates from 24 global locations and provides a range of technology based solutions to companies that want to add value to their customer loyalty and retention activity.  Due to growth in their business development function they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to focus on the Travel and Telecoms sectors.

About the Role

The overall purpose of the Business Development Manager role is to take responsibility for the generation of profitable revenue from new named business.

Core activity will include:

  • Targeting and contacting suitable prospects to open and build relationships in a proactive and value added manner
  • Building relationships and convincing potential clients of your capabilities so that they provide you with the opportunities to pitch your value to them
  • Own the pitch process using target customer and market insight plus clear understanding of client needs to leverage the right capabilities to differentiate and win new business

What We're Looking For

Applicants for this role will need proven business development skills, ideally gained in a technology or loyalty services based business. You will be skilled at prospect pipeline building and most importantly pitching and winning new named business, ideally combined with a good understanding of the loyalty marketing sector (the key product range is designed to enhance the loyalty marketing activity of businesses in the travel and telecoms sectors).

About the Offer

This role offers a basic salary of up to £55k plus bonus based on closed business.
