Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a number of Account Managers to join a dynamic team within Computacenter. Based in Blackfriars, the successful individuals will be required to add value to all customers by providing a proactive and sales focused approach on products, associated service
offerings and specific service solutions. In order to provide an end to end service: product sizing, including specific focus on up-selling, pricing, processes, delivery and reporting.

The successful applicants will undergo a structured 6 week training program which will start on August 18th 2008. Candidates must be available to interview from early July, and will not have any holiday booked for 6 weeks from the 18th August. Full IT product, sales, and systems training will be provided.

Responsibilities:

Pre Sales

· The point of contact for the provision of product guidance, including technical portfolio for
products.

· Identify & develop up-sell opportunities across the account set through understanding the
customers business needs and Computacenter’s offerings.

· Provision of accurate quotations of Computacenter’s product and services offerings within
the agreed service level.

· Ensuring that all quotations are logged via the quotation system.

· Provide accurate lead times, update customers on new product announcement/promotions
and applying commercial leverage where appropriate.

· Providing general support on tenders and marketing initiatives.

· Build strong relationship with Supplier and Internal Service Providers to ensure that
customer service level agreements are met.

· Maintaining customer price lists on the Web

· Maintain Account documents on a regular basis.

· Ability to apply the appropriate sales tool in order to win the business

· Working closely with Business Sales Consultant to identify and successfully close
opportunities

· Developing strong business relationships across the customer base to achieve high levels of
satisfaction

· Ability to identify and work with key decision makers throughout all levels of the organisation
(both internal & external)

· Ability to apply the customer qualification criteria for this business sector.

· Ensuring product and service orders are placed within customer service level agreement.

· Issuing outstanding orders reports to customers as required

· Setting up overnight dispatch reports for customers as required

· Monitoring and managing customer orders to ensure delivery within customer service level
agreement.

Post Sales

· Returns are logged and managed through the system in accordance to customer service
level agreement.

· Invoice queries are resolved promptly and the Query Log is managed

· Work closely with the Credit Controller and Customer Support Manager to monitor debt
collection

· Ensuring credit notes are processed promptly as required

· Produce customer specific reports as required

· To manage problem resolution within customer accounts

· Monitoring cross-charges and rebates

Teamwork

· Proactively help other members of the team with any queries they may have or when they
have a heavy workload

Skills Required:

· Experience in similar Sales role, or Sales Support – Ideally IT sales experience (not
essential)

· Commercial awareness

· Excellent knowledge of Computacenter’s service offerings & vendor products

· Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload

· Customer care – ability to listen and understand the customer needs

· Ability to identify and apply up-sell opportunities across products and services

· Excellent telephone manner

· Ability to take ownership of queries / problems to resolution

· Initiative

Skills Desired:

· Good understanding of IT marketplace

· Experience in building and maintaining relationships with vendors, partners and customers

· Knowledge/experience of Computacenter’s e-Commerce tools
