Job Description

POSITION

  • Business Development Manager Software Business Development Manager

SALARY

  • £30k OTE £45k, 25 Days Holiday, Pension, BUPA

LOCATION

  • Maidenhead, Berkshire

ROLE

  • My client is a leader in On Demand Electronic Trading and Supply Chain Management and is now looking for Business Development Managers to provide lead generation services within the Retail, Building and CPG sector.
  • This is a very important role for the company as you are the first point of contact with clients identifying points of pain and providing solutions to their electronic trading and supply chain issues. This is a complex decision making process that you are involved in and once a problem is identified you will look to set up an appointment for a field sales executive to continue the sale.
  • You will follow up on direct mail and email campaigns, researching market sectors and evaluating who is a suitable client for you.
  • You will be dealing with all types of senior decision makers within logistics, IT, Finance and Purchasing.
  • You will be office based working from their Berkshire office and will be provided with a full induction including product training, workshops and role plays.

EXPERIENCE

  • As a Business Development Manager you will need to have a successful track record in a similar role in lead generation or have worked in a telesales role.
  • This role will not suit candidates that like to close a deal. You will need to be able to open doors and identify business opportunities.
  • You must be personable, friendly, can think outside the box and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You must be a good listener and a self starter.
  • A background in IT sales would be beneficial.
