Channel Sales - Business Development Manager
£40,000 Basic, £80,000 OTE
Various locations within the UK as Home Based
We are an industry leader in IP Telephony, with a full UK national network and are one of the UK's largest providers of voice services and voice applications, supplying service to over 100,000 UK businesses via over 300 channel partners which include some of the UK's largest and most successful Systems Integrators, Voice Resale partners, ISP's, ITSP's and Specialist Carriers.
As the only major UK Telecommunications Company to sell exclusively through the channel, all our clients systems, services and processes are specifically designed for selling through partners to the end user market. In 2005 and 2006 we were ranked as one of the fastest growing technology companies in the Sunday Times' "Microsoft Tech Track 100" and are privately owned and strongly backed by a multi billion-pound consortium.
The channel sales role of the Business Development Manager is to implement our business strategy and work with Resellers to maximise sales of the supplied service to exceed business objectives. You will negotiate contracts and set objectives with our resellers for business development working closely with them in order to understand and develop their business plans. You will be expected to introduce and train them to maximise the revenue and margin from our product range ensuring that the proposition is properly presented and that target objectives are met within the resale channel. Additionally you will manage costs and revenues within each reseller, to ensure that business objectives and sales targets are exceeded and identify new revenue opportunities for and develop strategies to exploit them as well as identifying and targeting appropriate new resellers.
Candidates will ideally be degree educated and have a minimum of 5 years sales experience, plus a minimum of 3 years 3rd party management experience as well as 4 years' experience working in the data or voice communication industry.
