Sales Account Executive / Business Development Manager - OTE £60 - £70k 

UK / Ireland - Home based 

The Sales Account Executive / Business Development Manager will work within the Academic and Government Sales arm of the Science and Technology Team, with responsibility for a portfolio of electronically delivered products ranging from content (journal) databases to E-books to database tools. The Sales Account Executive / Business Development Manager will extend and further develop the existing relationship network with clients throughout the UK and Ireland. Customers are institutions such as libraries and information departments at universities and government institutes. Experience of selling into these sectors would be desirable. 

Our client is a major international business with a long history of the printing and online, internet and web-based publishing of journals, books and major reference works, particularly for the science and health communities. 

The successful Sales Account Executive / Business Development Manager will have a strong sales record of tactical account development,  excellent negotiation, communication / presentational skills and an interest in research, science and technology. The Sales Account / Business Development Manager will be educated to a good standard. Masters level, an MBA or PhD will also be advantageous. An extensive induction and introduction to the company, its products and sales operation will be included in the initial training programme. 

The role will require regular travel within UK and Ireland together with occasional international travel.
