Our client is a specialist Risk Management and Regulatory Risk Consulting firm that provides high quality risk consulting solutions to its clients.
You will have access to and work alongside, experienced subject matter experts and senior stakeholders, to support your efforts and increase your sector knowledge.
They have a unique set of A List Banking and Financial Services clients that they advise and they now require a business developer with the gravitas to speak on the telephone, with Senior C-Suite Individuals within Financial Services clients, such as Banks, Insurers and Asset Managers.
Our client has international offices in London, Amsterdam, Brussels and Luxembourg. They have 150 full time personnel, as well as a pool of Associates; the Edinburgh office is a new addition, opened during early 2010, and which is thriving. They operate in a highly professional environment, with a strong work ethos, that has an entrepreneurial feel, whilst being highly personable.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales person. The fantastic element of this role is that you will be provided with the Prospects contact details and asked to arrange business development meetings for the 3 most senior consultants in this practice. These C-Suite customers will be aware of Avantage and therefore with the right approach meetings should be easy to arrange. Limited amount of cold-calling required.
You will have a successful sales track record and it is unlikely that the successful applicant will have come from any other environment than a sales role, selling to Financial Services firms/prospects.
POSITION
Job Title: Part-Time Business Developer/Appointment Maker
Reporting to: Founder/Head of Edinburgh Practice
Office Location*: Edinburgh
Opportunity for an experienced telephone sales person.
This role will require extensive appointment making and you will carry a personal target, which you will be expected to meet and exceed.
You will have telephone sales experience gained over a number of years selling into Financial Services clients
Sales would typically be made to COO, CRO, Senior Management.
PERSON
The ideal candidate will possess/be:
Gravitas/presence over the telephone: Someone who is happy to pick up the phone and possess the right attitude in order to speak credibly with very senior Prospects.
A team player: who demonstrates a cohesive approach and communicates confidently at the highest levels, to build meaningful external and internal relationships and possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
Business Savvy: High-energy, accountable and forward-looking; able to see larger business picture to identify and diagnose problems and sell around them. Able to succeed with dynamic business development programs and assist in influencing the future success of the company.
Hunter/Gets it done Attitude: The ability to hit the ground running. Willing to roll-up his/her sleeves to get things done; he/she must also be able to identify and alleviate any potential hurdles to achieving objectives, successfully managing appointments and gleaning additional information about the Prospect organisation
Computer Literate: You will be required to fully update the CRM system, when in office and keep it populated with information about your efforts and client response.
Location/Travel: You must be located in easy commuting distance to Central Edinburgh and be able to work from the Edinburgh office 2 days per week. (Days to suit you Monday-Friday).
COMPENSATION
Basic Salary: Pro Rata £30,000 (2 Days per week = £12,000 p/a)
Commission: £100 per appointment made
