Our client is a global leader in international express, overland transport and air freight as well as the world's number 1 in ocean freight and contract logistics. Through offering a full and growing portfolio of customised solutions - from express document shipping to supply chain management they continue to show impressive growth and market penetration. Due to growth, internal movement and their ongoing commitment to existing accounts they now have an exciting opening for a Key Account Manager to cover a lucrative London based territory.
As a Key Account Manager you will be territory focussed where you will manage and develop a portfolio of existing high value customers through building strong customer relationships, ensuring that customer needs are recognised and met. Targeting some of London's top spending accounts and dealing at senior levels you will nurture, win and re-negotiate contracts of varying value.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years field based sales / account management experience gained in the logistics / courier industry. You will have first class communication and presentation skills coupled with the ability to liaise at all levels within customers of varying size and contract value. You will be driven, both new business and account management minded, motivated by the rewards and above all have the ability to influence set targets and deliver in a customer focussed account management environment.
The successful candidate can expect a base salary of 28-30k with an uncapped OTE of 40-45k in the first year plus an excellent benefits package including a generous car allowance.
