Job Description

Technical Field Sales Engineer - Bulk Materials Handling/Mineral Processing
Northern England (North East/North West) M62 Corridor
Up to £28,000 plus Annual Performance-Related Bonus, Company Car, Health Cash Plan, Expense Account

Our client is a well established company specialising in the manufacture, protection and installation of process plant and equipment, operating within the Bulk Solids Handling and Processing industries. Servicing a client base including Corus, NPower and EDF, they now seek to recruit a Technical Field Sales Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technical sales professional with experience in the heavy industrial sector to complement the existing sales effort of the business.

Spending one day per week in the office and the remainder of your time working face to face in the field with both existing and new clients, the Technical Field Sales Engineer will cover both the M62 Corridor and a wider area between the Midlands and Scotland.

Within the role, you will:

- Assume control of all existing and potential customers within your designated working area
- Maintain and create maximum business opportunities with customers
- Offer solution-driven benefits to overcome the problems experienced with handling bulk solid materials
- Assume overall responsibility of maintaining and exceeding sales targets within your given area

To be considered for this role, the Technical Field Sales Engineer must demonstrate the following:

- Previous sales experience
- Experience in a related industry (heavy industrial sector, bulk materials solids handling, mineral processing, mining, power, energy etc.)

The candidate will also be a results-driven individual who is able to plan, initiate and deliver both employer and customer expectations. Along with excellent communication skills, you will be able to initiate customer contact and close sales, using your friendly, adaptable, precise, tenacious and confident approach.

The Technical Field Sales Engineer must also be willing to put extra effort in to ensure the job gets done, as this role would not suit a person who is looking simply for a 9-5 job.
