Job:
As the first recruit for a specialist division you will be helping to build upon the existing client base in order to establish a specialist generator sales business. As a part of their UPS business, my clients have been steadily building a need for a separate generators division to sell static generators for stand by power applications. This role will deal with the full sales process so getting the generator onto specifications with the consultants, making sure the contractor keeps to that specification and securing that sales order and ensuring the satisfaction of the end user. The end user could be anyone from public sector buildings to banks, hospitals and military installations. This role will be 70% on the road 30% in the office and you will play a significant part in the structure and development of the team. This will include building a sales team beneath you.

Person:
All applicants must know power generation technology and ideally how it fits into a standby power system. Key to this role is the ability to make high end sales to the consultant specifier clients. It is essential that you have a consultative approach to sales balanced with a good level of technical ability. HNC in electrical engineering is preferred but industry experience could suffice.
