Zest Medical are working in partnership with an established ophthalmic equipment supplier who is seeking to recruit a dedicated Ophthalmic Sales Representative for a full time vacancy. This is an exciting opportunity to work for an industry leader in a fully autonomous role and joining an already successful sales team serving clients in the South of England.

As a dedicated ophthalmic sales executive you will be responsible for promoting and selling the companies entire range of ophthalmic equipment to high street opticians. The range consists of ocular instrumentation, field analysers and screeners and you will typically be selling to dispensing Opticians, Optometrists and small to medium sized retail outlet owners. The territory will cover the South of England with Birmingham at the furthest point North, you will need to be on territory and ideally placed within easy reach of London and the home counties.

You will be an accomplished sales person with a proven track record in your field; in addition you need to be tenacious and resourceful in your approach as it is a competitive sector. Due to the price driven nature of this market you will have to have commercial acumen which yields an understanding of the buying patterns of this industry. Your personality will be key as this is all about relationship building across all levels where you must be able to offer a clear empathetic understanding of clients needs.

Applications will be considered from proven sales people from within the optical industry but will consider those from the wider medical field, including dental and consumable markets.

A competitive remuneration package will be offered which will include a basic salary from £28,000 to £35,000 with a further earning potential of £12,000 (uncapped). A quality car, pension and healthcare scheme are also available as part of the package.
