Business Development Manager

We need an experienced Business Development Manager, to take new and innovative propositions to market. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to:

  • Develop a comprehensive plan to grow government pipeline and sales
  • Target, qualify, establish and maintain close contact within new name key accounts
  • Develop sales plans that include win strategies, teaming recommendations and competitive discriminators
  • Assists the UK Business Development Director with strategies and new initiatives.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Sales experience at selling professional services or productised service solutions to government
  • Finding and winning competitive new name.
  • A good knowledge of current marketing and sales practices within the UK government
  • The ideal candidate will have a relevant understanding of the government- especially local governments, structures, drivers and points/routes of contact
  • A track record of developing and closing deals of up to £1m
  • Knowledge of E-government, consulting or business processing services is a distinct advantage
  • Negotiating skilfully in difficult situations with both internal and external groups
  • Experience in identifying and driving business opportunities that exceed financial objectives and developing unique strategies based on sound client and competitor analysis
