Business Development Manager (Local Government) : Leicester or Farnborough

Salary : Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Our client provides operational products and services across the entire geo-information spectrum : data acquisition and processing, imagery analysis and interpretation, hosting and delivery of large datasets, as well as offering Geographic Information System (GIS) development and consultancy.

The company is one of the worlds leading Geo-Information companies providing data, products, systems/software and consultancy to a wide range of markets. As a result of our recent success in the government arena combined with a new and innovative product/service portfolio, we are looking to recruit a ?Business Development Manager? for the local government market. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong working relationships with a number of partners and clients.

The main duties will be to manage and develop the accounts of a wide range of clients within the local government arena including county councils, district councils, emergency services, environmental organisations and regional co-ordination units.
Reporting to the Government Services Director the ideal candidate will:

?Be qualified to degree level or above in a relevant discipline;
?Demonstrate clear evidence of a successful sales track record within the relevant market (minimum 3 years relevant experience)
?Provide clear evidence of sales experience in geospatial data, consultancy, software/systems development and solutions environment
