Job Description

An opportunity to be an International Sales Manager for RFD Beaufort. RFD Beaufort specialise in safety & survival equipment.

The Role

As an International Sales Manager you will be predominantly managing a portfolio of key accounts within the public and private defence sectors. Your clients will be geographically spread throughout the UK and overseas, you will be travelling for approximately 50% of your time within your territory. The emphasis will be upon spending time with your clients building your relationship with them and maximising sales potential. You will also be dedicating a portion of your time to business development initiatives to grow you market share within your given territory. Your portfolio of products will include defence clothing and jackets, single and multi-person life rafts.

Who We're Looking For

To be considered for this position you would ideally combine having:

a proven track record in business-to-business sales
experience of international sales account management
experience of selling into the UK or foreign ministries of defence or private sector defence businesses

Due to the nature of the business the role involves a long-term sales cycle which can vary from 1 month to 2 years. You must have consultative long-term sales approach, having the tenacity and resilience to remain focused on long-term projects. The ideal candidate would live in the North West within a commutable distance to the RFD Beaufort head office in Birkenhead.

RFD Beaufort, part of their parent company Survitec Group, has specialized for more than 50 years in the design (including integration and qualification), manufacture, servicing, modification, repair, installation and inspection of safety and survival equipment for aerospace and marine industries.

RFD Beaufort have an international client base, with focus upon the national ministries for defence. The services and products they offer are a high quality, value added premium solution bespoke to their clients requirements. Their product portfolio ranges from aircrew protective clothing, life rafts and escape routes to high altitude oxygen systems and submarine escape equipment.
