Job Description

Our client is not only a global, blue chip FMCG business with an enviable portfolio of successful brands, they are also near the top of the Sunday Times Best Companies to work for list and have an excellent reputation as a forward thinking and dynamic business. Our clients approach to business is driven by a continual pursuit of excellence across all business functions, as a result of their expansion plans an unrivalled opportunity for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager has arisen.

Their 5 year plan is simple and yet challenging, to transform the very way in which their category is "defined" and "shopped" by the retailer and consumer alike. As the Trade Marketing Manger, you will support the development of the trade marketing strategy and vision to influence category development including range, space and merchandising plans.

Relevant Candidates will have ideally gained a strong level of exposure to Category/Trade Marketing within the FMCG sector or working directly for a UK Retailer. You will be at ease with operating in an intellectually tough environment, where results are driven via a "hands on" approach.

Delivering a strong trade marketing plan for working with brand and commercial teams, as well as key customer contacts, you will develop launch plans, promotional and POS initiatives - securing increased brand exposure and driving sales forward. You will also develop and manage a programme of continuous trade communication and incentives to raise the awareness of the company and its brands.

Hands-on experience in a trade or customer marketing role is essential. You will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to summarise market and sales data, as well as the creativity and commercial savvy to develop, negotiate and communicate activation plans for the brand. Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship building skills are as essential as your passion for brands and brand building.
