About the Client

A market research agency who has developed a portfolio of cutting edge market research tools and techniques is looking to add a UK Head of Sales to drive and grow company sales and revenue.

This client is staffed by dynamic & entrepreneurial research experts with a positive "can do" attitude. Mid-sized and flexible in it's approach it can offer excellent research solutions to blue-chip clients.

About the Role

The overall objectives of this role will be to develop new business from both existing and new clients, across all of the company's channels, be responsible for the performance and development of the whole UK sales team, be responsible for driving and implementing sales systems and processes across the UK business, and to support all UK sector and product heads in delivery of their sales targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Maximize the revenue growth of the UK business within budgeted resources
  • Develop overall sales & marketing strategy in conjunction with the Management Team
  • Organise, motivate and inspire the sales teams to ensure outstanding productivity and performance
  • Manage and monitor sales performance by developing systems for regular reporting of key performance indicators
  • Work in conjunction with Product and Sector Heads to agree targets in each product area and monitor and manage performance to ensure targets are achieved
  • Build the sales team capabilities and skills through recruitment, sales training and development

What We're Looking For

This role requires a strong and experienced people and sales manager with outstanding negotiation and client handling skills, confident when managing a team as well as able to motivate and develop a team to the highest standard. The candidate will also have:

  • Proven experience of managing sales teams
  • Experience of dealing with senior decision makers, up to Marketing Director and CEO level
  • Experience with high account relationship values up to and exceeding £1m
  • Excellent track record of hitting personal and team targets
  • Experience of interviewing, mentoring and managing a telesales team
  • Have problem solving, analytical and numerical skills
  • Have a proactive account management and sales focus
  • The ability to self-organise and self-manage to achieve business development targets
  • Excellent client focus and handling skills
