Regional Sales Manager
FMCG Branded Food
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
Reporting to the Field Sales Manager and as part of the Convenience and Impulse team, this role will be responsible for the ongoing training and development of the field sales team and managing the relationship between our client's head office team, the field sales team and key wholesale and retail accounts. Ensuring the achievement of the Company net sales, delivered margin and distribution targets as set.
As a key aspect of this role will be daily interaction with other functions within the business, applicants will need to demonstrate success in working as part of a cross functional team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Delivery of field sales strategy as set-out by Field Sales Manager.
· Manage team to achieve specific volume, distribution and display objectives by account for existing and new products
· Creation and implementation of individual development plans by team member, identifying both strengths and development needs
· Ensure team is operating efficient and effective journey plans maximizing the opportunity for brands within the portfolio
· Translate short and long term business strategies into SMART short (8 weeks) and long term (12 months) objectives by team member
· Work with the FSM to run training and refresher courses for the team in order to embed current training programs
· Monthly field based work withs with each team member working on their development areas and embedding training programs
· Graduate caliber, Minimum 2 A Levels plus 1 year man management sales experience within an FMCG environment
· Inspirational leader who can demonstrate the ability to bring out the best in others
· Results orientated with proven track record of success within previous man management roles.
· Ability to coach, train, motivate and develop high potential people for future roles
· Demonstrates strong influencing skills
· Strong entrepreneurial and commercial sense.· Strong customer focus
· Strong understanding of UK convenience and grocery trade.
· Effective time manager· Strong networking skills a necessity.
