Area Sales Representative - Pet Products - Central UK

THE ROLE:
We are currently assisting our client who is looking to appoint an Area Sales Representative to cover the Midlands territory. The role will be to pick up an existing territory which has a great deal of untapped potential and therefore the opportunity to increase sales and for the newly appointed sales representative to develop a profitable territory. This role requires someone who has sold into retail and has either a strong knowledge of the pet product industry or is currently working within this sector, ideally you will be a pet lover/enthusiast. The role with cover a specific territory which extends from Birmingham to the Home Counties and you will responsible for calling on all existing independent retailers within the territory whilst prospecting for new business.

Our client is a well established market leader within the pet products sector who sells a wide range of pet foods across national and independent retailers. Their products are of the highest quality and have a unique place in the market. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
*Located on patch (between Birmingham and the Home Counties)
*Ideally have experience of selling into independent pet retailers
*Be self-motivated and well organised
*Confident communicator
*Proven experience in a field based sales role (within a similar product sector)
*Strong administrative skills
*Excellent relationship builder
*Responsible and able to work on own
THE PACKAGE:
Basic Salary: £20,000-£22,000 basic + car + £4K bonus
