**** MEDICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE REQUIRED FOR OPPORTUNITY WITH TOP 5 PHARMA COMPANY (DIABETES) ****
My client is a world leading blue chip pharmaceutical company, with several exciting opportunities for Medical Sales Representatives to join their team managing the following territories:
SR 1383 Tower Hamlets & Islington (experience preferred)
SR 1384 Suffolk & Essex coast (CM12-15, RM15-19, SS bricks)
SR 1388 Brighton, Hove & W Sussex (experience preferred)
In this role you will have responsibility for promoting just one prescription only pharmaceutical product, primarily to GPs, practice Nurses, retail pharmacists and key PCT personnel. As you will be selling in a market which is very much driven from primary care but is somewhat traditional and established but incredibly competitive, you need to be self motivated, commercially astute, and confident enough to close every time!
You will sell just one product which focuses on a particularly key therapeutic area (diabetes) which GPs are incentivised to treat successfully, therefore has bags of potential both in terms of access to customers and generating opportunities for growth in cash sales and market share. These roles will particularly appeal to candidates who relish the opportunity to convert awkward or particularly conservative customers, and love the buzz of successfully 'closing' a sale.
Either experienced or trainee representatives will be considered (although experience prescription only Pharma reps would be preferred for the Tower Hamlets & Brighton territory due to notoriously difficult customer access) and all applicants must be able to demonstrate strong business acumen as this is an increasingly financially motivated therapy area. Candidates who do not possess current prescription pharmaceutical sales experience will come from a pro active sales background (i.e. FMCG or similar field based roles) and will ideally have completed a day of ‘work shadowing’ with a pharma rep in order to appreciate the differences between this job & their present role. Living within the geographical territory would be useful but is not essential as long as you are within striking distance of the area.
In return, you will be rewarded with a generous basic salary (dependent on experience), plus tax free daily allowance, fully expensed company car, laptop & mobile telephone, pension, private healthcare & bonus. As with all field based sales roles of this type, a full UK driving license is require (with 6 points or less) and all candidates must be eligible to work in the UK on a full time, permanent basis.
