Job Description

National Sales Manager is required for my client. You must have a excellent sales manager background with experience selling a range of systems to specifiers / housing associations / local authorities.

Ideally you will come from a renewables background with experience in Solar PV. My client provides a high quality professional service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and team work. Main work is the design and installation of solar PV and thermal systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients.

We are looking for a sales manager to drive business development and manage sales growth across the company. The flexibility that comes with this role means that the right candidate can work from home and either our Southern offices. It is likely that the role will involve 1-2 days per week away from home.

Job Description

*Lead on national level sales opportunities
*Be an active member of the company board
*Act as a resource for branch managers to improve their branch sales
*Maintain relationships with key clients and deliver sales for the company
*Lead development and training of staff to drive sales
*Manage head office sales and marketing staff
*Provide leadership to commercial sales staff in the tendering process
*Generate new sales leads across our territory, through active marketing including identification of potential new business opportunities, and undertaking client visits
*Develop company sales strategy
*Identify and develop new initiatives and business sectors

EXPERIENCE
*At least 5 years experience of sales manager in a construction, installation or service related business
*A proven track record in sales to commercial clients
*Experience of building relationships with clients including Housing Associations, Local Authorities, architects, consultants, Commercial Property Landlords, building developers and contractors
*Practical understanding of strategic market analysis and planning
*Experience of the solar energy sector
*People management skills including motivation, performance management, setting and measuring sales targets
*Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
*Excellent writing and presentation skills
*Full clean driving licence

Package
*Salary £35-42k depending on experience (for a 5 day week).
