Senior Conference Producer, Financial Events - Central London - £28k basic + profit share

Conference production is lucrative and stimulating. This company organises large scale financial events and employs the best and brightest.

This leading business information company's remit takes in on- and off-line publishing and events. For its conference division it values great degrees.

This role involves producing financial conferences. Production entails the preparation of the intellectual content of commercial conferences (not the logistics - the venue, the catering, the staging, etc). Conference producers research business sectors; they look for speakers for their events amongst the movers and shakers from those sectors; then they write conference programmes and marketing material. Often the events happen in other countries and the producers have to travel. Conference producers are paid a basic salary and a percentage of the profit that their events make. The many people that we've placed in this role like it because it's intellectually stimulating and lets them see a project through from start to finish. The conference industry is innovative: if you apply yourself, rapid advances in terms of money and position are possible.

For this role you must have an excellent degree. Candidates will also need an assertive nature - you'll have to be persuasive. Strong financial backgrounds will have a significant advantage.
