Job Description

As the Sales Manager you will be working for one of the world's leading organisers of international trade exhibitions and conferences, with over 190 annual events, who also specialise in organising events in growing and developing markets. Due to their continued success and expansion, a Sales Manager is sought to work on a new series of energy events that are being launched in Asia, Europe, and South America.

The aim of the Sales Manager isto build, manage and maintain a global client base and to meet and exceed pre-determined sales goals and objectives through the development of conference, exhibition and sponsorship sales to new and existing clients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Proactive sales to target and sell to new and existing clients via phone and face-to-face meetings
  • Manage sales of the company's confex events to include sponsorship, stand and delegate products
  • Develop, implement and drive sales strategy to ensure the business objectives of the confex division are achieved.
  • Develop a sales strategy for both new and renewal business targets and objectives
  • Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, and matrix management.
  • Implement KPI's to monitor divisions performance
  • Build strong pipeline of sales and delegate prospects
  • Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales
  • Collaborates with Business Director in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales goals for the company.
  • Matrix management of the sales teams in the global offices and global agencies
  • Provides weekly sales reports and accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
  • Manage and maintain sales database
  • Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all confex products.
  • Establish personal contact and rapport with industry decision-make

Profile & Qualifications:

A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred

A proven track record in sales of events to include sponsorship, stand and delegate sales

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong presentation skills

Strong objection handling skills

Proven track record of building strong relationships with key sector personnel

Self starter and highly motivated to achieve set sales targets

Availability to travel globally on a regular basis
