The Role
*To provide leadership and the vision for the current and future direction of the Melville Graphics business.
*Ensure the graphics division delivers on its operating plan. This includes delivering on; revenue growth, operating margins, safety and outstanding customer service
*To maintain excellent client relationships with a view to renewing and developing key accounts.
*To drive product and service innovation throughout the Graphics division to ensure Melville Graphics remains well positioned for future profitable growth.
*To input into the overall strategic control and direction of the company working closely with the Melville CEO, COO, Group Sales
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the Melville Graphics business and provide overall direction to the Graphics management team and the entire staff of Melville Graphics.
*Strategically manage the business to ensure Melville’s competitive proposition, product/service offering and service delivery levels remain demonstrably superior.
*Prepare and execute key account development plans.
*Where necessary, take a hands on approach to client management and in particular, directly manage the production and delivery of certain key shows.
*Set the people agenda for the business and ensure the motivation of direct reports, their teams and the implementation of performance management and organisational talent development, including PDP's.
*General management responsibilities including Health & Safety; Commercial Management; P&L responsibility; setting and management of key company KPI’s; defining strategy.
Skills Required
*Ideally with previous experience in the graphics industry, or a strong working experience and knowledge of the production processes involved.
*Excellent client relation’s skills including the ability to keep existing client relationships solid and to build new client relationships.
*Strong operations knowledge base including the ability to drive margin enhancements.
*Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to enthuse reports.
*Strong overall leadership and management skills, including the ability to manage experienced operators within the business.
*Proven track record of contributing to product innovation.
*Experience in organisational change management, in particular experience in bringing new operating methods and working practices to a mature operating division.
*Good standard of IT skills particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel.
*Strong financial awareness including an understanding of the P&L and which levers impact profitability.
