Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager Water Division
Woking (Moving to Home/Field based after initial training)
£30,000 - £35,000 DOE Plus Car, Mobile, Laptop

Our client has been providing quality industrial and commercial fixed point gas detection systems and environmental monitoring services since 1986. During this time they have gained an enviable reputation in the market place, due to their team of highly experienced technical staff. An opportunity has now arisen for a talented Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager to join their team and play a key role.

In this role you will be responsible for developing and securing new clients, accounts, contracts and orders for systems within the Waste Water industry. Your role will involve searching for new business opportunities with existing clients, and maintaining and increasing the overall UK profile of our client within this industry sector. You will also attend suitable trade exhibitions and exhibit at suitable trade conferences as necessary.

Upon joining you will be based in the office where you will receive comprehensive technical training. Once trained, you will then work with clients in order to seek new business opportunities. As a Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager your duties will include:

- writing and logging quotations
- reviewing trade magazines and the internet for new projects
- arranging appointments to meet new and existing customers in the UK and Ireland
- preparing PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings
- attending monthly meetings with the MD and/or Director of Engineering

To succeed as a Field Sales Manager / Technical Sales Manager you must have a proven technical background and ideally some industry sales experience. Our client is also keen to hear from experienced Project Managers or Technical Service Engineers looking for their first sales role.

You will also need to be self motivated and able to take responsibility for your own sales quotations; therefore you must be computer literate in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and/or AutoCAD. Additionally, you must have a clean driving licence, and the ability to work with a range of people from Lab Technicians and Facilities Manager, to Project Managers and Construction workers.
