Job Description

Senior Business Development Manager, Commercial Sales
£50,000 Basic, £85,000 OTE Year One, £150K+ Projected Year Two plus Car/Car allowance and share options

Established in New York in 2002 this organisation has now moved to the UK to create total market share in a niche that has amazingly been untouched to this point. This is a highly sophisticated corporate business development role where you will be tasked in selling unique products to five major European target accounts. Relationships with these five accounts are strong in the US but at an embryonic stage in the UK and Europe. Initial relationships have been made but need significant development over the next year.

Your role is to strategically penetrate into these accounts to win ten year contracts to supply. It is projected that the potential total market value is worth circa 2 billion Euros over the next decade.
The products are sold as projects to save money, save energy and save waste and are sold in conjunction with local government departments. The sale is sophisticated, multi-level and the company are solely targeting the largest players in their market.

Backed by significant investment the plan is to achieve £2M of sales in 2008, £20M in 2009 and £50M by 2010 and equity/share options could form part of the package for the successful applicant.

To succeed you must be an amazing business developer with a proven history of breaking into and winning high valued business from major corporates. As the role has enormous future potential you will be an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual looking for a ten year career move.

You will be highly credible, articulate and have a proven ability of writing sophisticated business proposals. You will be the kind of individual that has always wanted to be an expert in their field and as such pushes themselves to absorb as much information as possible to become hugely knowledgeable.

You will have a proven track record of building long term relationships and have a vibrant, enthusiastic persona. You will be self managing, self motivated, disciplined to reach every goal that is set and an individual that is capable of strategising yet always takes action!

You will be highly intelligent and have a 'chameleon like' personality that is able to forge strong relationships at both operational and board levels.

This is an incredible opportunity and with existing accounts like Grand Central Station, the New York Subway and Times Square you have some fantastic projects to use as testimonials and reference points. The potential to earn £250K plus p.a. will be achievable within 3 years and it is anticipated that this role will develop into 'Head of Sales' should you wish to progress into people management.

The role is pan-European with a UK focus and as the company are London based it is likely that you will be living in the South East of England.
