Job Description

In order to bring on board new talent across the European business, this 75 year old global organisation has just launched a Trainee Programme. 

With vast experience in the design, development and manufacture of industrial automation products, electrical components and medical equipment, it is the Industrial Automation division that has experienced phenomenal growth. 

This business sector designs and manufactures the little things that make the big things work.  These products enable companies in all industry sectors automate their manufacturing processes to make them more efficient, to reduce waste, and to maximise productivity.     

Benefiting from a full induction and on going training from the companys Business School, you will also gain knowledge and confidence from on the job training in the field and mentoring from experienced people within the business.  This academy approach to developing talent will ensure you gain a strong foundation that will fast track your success and ensure your future growth within the business.

You will start as a Trainee Field Sales Engineer in the Industrial Automation division.  A full induction at the companys head office will be followed by in-field shadowing.  As you develop within the role and move through the Business School training, you will start to take on more and more responsibility within your own territory, starting with the management of some small accounts and then taking full account management accountability within your area.   

Your clients will be varied and no two days will be the same! You will be working with many types of business across industry sector and of shapes and sizes.  You will be building relationships with electrical design teams, sales managers, service engineers and procurement / professional buying teams.  To be successful, you will be adaptable in style, flexible in approach, outgoing, resilient, enthusiastic and customer focused.

The Person

You will have some sort of technical background in an electrical / mechanical / manufacturing discipline.  This does not need to be an academic qualification, but you will have an understanding and interest in all things electrical and an ability to prove this. 

The company is looking for someone who is keen, self motivated, bright, hungry and ambitious. You will have a team spirit, a professional and creative approach and most importantly be a strong relationship builder who is a clear and concise communicator. 

Package

£20K basic to start with a company car, mobile phone and laptop provided.  There is a company bonus scheme that provides an annual bonus of 15% of salary, plus revenue and activity based commission.  A company pension scheme and private healthcare are available after a qualifying period
