Our Client has a superb career opportunity for a dynamic business professional to continue the growth of business from existing and new customers in the PCB and electronics conectivity market throughout the UK. You will be will be highly competent both technically and commercially, capable of acheiving growth through design-in, specification and project management activities within those market segments and customers identified as strategically important to the long term development of the UK business, and also through the deployment of effective business development actions with Sales, Marketing and Technical colleagues.
In addition, the BDM will develop a detailed knowledge and understanding of the identified markets, providing specialist knowledge and expertise to establish and implement successful business plans that will drive profitable sales results through selling the Company's products which you have responsibility for.
As the successful candidate, you are likely to be currently an Area Sales Engineer, Area Sales Manager or Business Development Manager within the Electrical control and automation components, Electronic e mech/PCB components, including connectors sector, possibly PCB manufacture market. You will have a strong and successful technical sales background. Ideally located centrally you will be expected to travel extensively as required throughout the UK in order to acheive your objectives.
Technical qualifications to ONC/HNC standard or above in an Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline is likely, however candidate able to illustrate experience and technical ability of the controls industry and components may be considered.
Skills, experience and attributes
At least 5 years sales experience in electrical and electronic components
HNC or equivalent technical qualification
Well organised with a professional sales approach
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Highly self motivated and disciplined
Logical approach to problem solving
Strong and structured negotiation skills
Computer literate
Strong desire to win
The ability to accept and work with change
A proven and successful track record
