A UK Sales manager is required for a company based in the North East who manufacture battery systems for industrial applications. Your customers will be located throughout the UK so you do not need to be located in the North East, but will need to be prepared to travel there as required.

As UK Sales Manager you will report directly to the Managing Director. You will manage a small specialist team who are all highly experienced as well as having direct account management responsibility for the company's main customer base of military OEMs and the MOD. A knowledge of MOD tenders would therefore be an advantage.
Both you and your team will cover an account base across the UK so extensive travel will be required with occasional overseas trips.

The ideal UK sales Manager will:
• Have a relevant Engineering/Electronics Qualification
• Ideally have strong experience of selling to the MOD/Military OEMs
• Be familiar with contract preparation and bidding
• Have strong man management skills
• Be an excellent networker with strong interpersonal skills

This is a prominent company in the design and manufacture of high tech battery systems for a variety of markets including industrial infrastructure and processes, defence, transportation, healthcare and utilities. The company provides businesses with energy solutions that, while crucial, are often invisible components of the systems they power.
This is a global organisation with a presence in 17 countries and with 16 manufacturing sites. They have an extensive sales network supplying customers throughout the world.
