Product Manager, New Product Sales/Marketing, Suffolk, to £45K
Position: Product Manager
Location: Bury St Edmonds, Suffolk
Salary: £35 to £45K

Our client is the market leader in the design, manufacture and sales of robotic and manual camera support products to the world's media. The brand is synonymous with high quality, product innovation and outstanding customer service.
ROLE:
a) To develop route to market, understand market trends and competitors in the market.
b) Development of New Product Roadmap and strategy which fits with Brand Management.
c) To manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
d) To work closely in liaison with NPI and also the Sales Teams to achieve the above.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) To establish a detailed understanding of market trend and requirements, competitive activity and then to determine a suitable product strategy in relation to strategic business ambitions.
b) To develop a Strategic Product Roadmap to include: development timetables, resourcing and costing proposals, common or shared platforms, development of business, sales and profit targets linked to relevant distribution strategy
c) To manage the life cycle of NPI projects in liaison with NPI team and give high level input to the aesthetics of product development.
d) To gain full understanding of market pricing and manufacturing costs and drive pricing approach based upon market analysis
e) To conduct features and benefits analysis of own existing and new products and competitive product.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Solid experience in a similar sales/marketing role.
b) Experience in the camera industry.
c) Preferably a degree level education in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Sciences.
d) Ability to monitor the commercial development of the products and evaluate the market competition.
e) Understanding of market trends and route to market.
f) Ability to understand technical data and analyse complex statistical information.
g) An enquiring and innovative mindset with the ability to think laterally and spot development opportunities for the products.
h) Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate complex deals.
You may have experience in the following roles: Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Product Specialist, Product Sales Manager, Camera Product Manager, Product Design Engineer, Product Development Manager, New Product Development Manager, Product Development Marketing Manager, Product Development Sales Manager, etc
