Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Applications Sales Engineer for an international company who manufacture subsea instrumentation and specialise in the use of sound for underwater navigation, positioning, and data communication.
The right candidate will have the opportunity to proactively support the direct sales team and assist in day to day sales activities aimed at increasing the commercial success of the Regional Sales Office and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
-To prepare sales quotations ensuring accurate and timely provision of information and strict adherence to Company commercial processes and authorisation levels.
-To provide comprehensive advice and guidance in response to customer enquiries regarding technical specifications, product selection and general sales information.
-To collect, analyse and present market research data for specific industry area/geographical territories enabling identification and development of new business opportunities and maximisation of existing markets.
-To ensure existing UK customers are fully conversant with current Sonardyne product developments through regular bulletins and updates.
-To provide information to and gather information from internal Company departments.
-To develop Account management responsibilities for specified areas of business, establishing effective two way communication channels through regular scheduled visits.
-To actively participate at relevant industry events ie trade exhibitions, society meetings and conferences, promoting the brand, gathering, market intelligence and developing a network of industry contacts.
Requirements:
-HNC/HND Electro/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
-Offshore Oil and Gas industry awareness/understanding.
-ROV/Survey/Offshore Engineering work related experience.
-Commercial acumen.
-Ability to travel overseas.
-Ability to lift up to 25kg.
Salary:- £30-35k dependant on experience.
