Senior Medical Equipment Engineer
This growing company is the UK's leading vendor-independent provider of strategic equipment services to the acute healthcare sector. Without any bias to specific equipment or manufacturers it can define and deliver equipment services that are based solely on the customer's clinical and cost saving needs.
The company is now looking for an experienced medical equipment service engineer/ EBME / biomedical engineer to be based in the Peterborough / Stamford area to provide prompt, high quality and professional engineering support to a broad range of medical equipment. This will include acceptance testing, repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM). As a senior engineer you will also be responsible for the allocation and prioritisation of reactive and planned maintenance to other company engineers, providing technical supervision of their work, ensuring quality and patient safety.
Key skills required include repairing and maintaining medical equipment, an in depth understanding of patient safety and the ability to work accurately and safely under pressure. Being a senior position you will also assist the medical electronics Manager with work allocation and supervision,
To apply you must be HNC/D Electronics or equivalent qualified with Membership of VRCT and have experienced in the repair, calibration and use of general medical equipment (min 5 years). You will have a good knowledge and understanding of MHRA DB 2006 (5), advanced electronic skills including test and measurement and be able to fault find under pressure, with minimal supervision, whilst minimising risk to patients, the Trust or company.
