Job Description

Technical Field Sales Engineer - Northern based, to include Scotland

Competitive Salary plus benefits and car

  

The Company

  

  • My client is a rapidly growing market leader in the design and application of nanomaterials.
  • They have extensive worldwide operations and are renowned in the industry for their excellence, innovation and industry knowledge.
  • A key development in one of their main divisions, is the development of diesel additive, designed to improve fuel consumption thereby lowering total fuel costs and reducing harmful exhaust emissions.

  

The Role

  

  • Reporting to the Applications Development Manager, you will play a key role in managing and developing the customer base within your given geographical area.
  • Through close liaison with the internal operations teams, assist in the delivery of new technology to the client base.
  • You will be responsible for building relationships at local level and maximising customer conversion.
  • Facilitate, develop and supervise the smooth running of fuel additive field trials and provide sales and technical support.
  • Ensure that the Company's quality and technical standards are consistently applied to the business and that optimal service quality is always provided to the entire satisfaction of Clients.
  • Liaise with contract engineers in overseeing the installation of dosing equipment to ensure the smooth running of field trials.
  •  Develop and deliver training to ensure correct application and implementation and establish good working relationships with depot managers, staff and sub-contractors.
  • Provide monthly written reports detailing progress, actions taken, recommendations and areas for improvement and to maintain customer database accordingly.

  

The Candidate

  

The successful applicant should demonstrate

  • Strong communication, sales negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness and a bias for identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously and with minimum of supervision.
  • A City & Guilds engineering or equivalent qualification and proven experience within the transport, haulage and commercial fleet industry.
  • You will hold a clean driving licence.
  • Strong IT skills.
