Job Title: Regional Sales Representative for the North of England

Area includes Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and all areas up to Scotland.

Field based, Reporting to UK Sales Manager

Our client is a global manufacturer of electrochemistry instrumentation, process controls and colorimetric test kits and photometers. The majority of the our client’s product range is portable and can be found being utilized in a diverse range of applications and industries throughout the UK. Our customers range from large multi-nationals and government agencies through to small private companies and individual end-users.
Responsibilities:-

• Sales of our clients products within the North of England territory
• Supporting the needs of existing customers both technically and commercially
• Communicating with existing customers to ensure new requirements are not missed
• Finding new customers in addition to growing existing customers
• Developing relationships with the sales people from our distributors within the territory
• Proactively identifying new sectors and customer groups for development
• Collating customer feedback to ensure our products meet the expectation of the market
• Visiting end user customers and our clients distributors to demonstrate product, product match to application need and securing the order
• Input to company sales and marketing plans
• Formulation and implementation of sales plans
• Attending exhibitions at which the company is exhibiting
Qualities you need:-
• Previous or current sales experience is essential as is the ability and interest to learn about technical products and their varied applications
• Degree or similar qualification in a science subject would be an advantage and/or sales experience in a similar or related industry role
• Knowledge and experience of the water instrumentation and/or laboratory test and measurement markets
• A positive individual with a professional and ‘can do’ approach to life, work and play
• Ability to self generate sales enquiries and turn them into orders
• Understanding and ability to put into action effective territory management
• An understanding of formulating and implementing sales programs to maximize sales of key accounts and Our client regional distributors
• Excellent computer skills, and the ability to clearly communicate both in writing, on the phone and face to face
