Are you looking to develop your knowledge of process measurement and control, instrumentation, mechanical engineering or electronic systems, in a rewarding sales role?

As a leading distribution company, our client specialises in measurement and control products, serving a number of sectors including oil & gas, bio technical, power, water & waste, food and pharmaceutical. An opportunity has now arisen for a Field Sales Engineer to join their team.

This role would suit a capable sales engineer with experience of selling similar products, or an internal sales engineer looking to develop into a field sales role. The company would also consider applications from engineers looking for a new career direction, or someone looking to utilise their engineering qualification in a sales role.

As a Field Sales Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring existing customers and key accounts receive a high level of service and support, encouraging sales growth for core products and introducing new product sales.

You will also be required to find new customers and encourage sales growth of measurement, control and associated products, nurturing these new customers to key account status.

Our client invites applications from experienced field sales engineers and managers alongside engineers who wish to change career direction and enter into a field sales role. At a minimum however, you must have:

- knowledge of, and a qualification in, one of the following: measurement and control, instrumentation, mechanical engineering or electronic systems
- an understanding of process applications (including pressure, temperature, flow, analytical and process control valves)
- the ability to recognise components from control systems, through instrumentation to pipe work

Additionally, as a Field Sales Engineer you should have a positive approach to technical, commercial and customer service whilst portraying company values and ensuring a tactical sales approach.

With a pleasant personality and strong drive to achieve sales goals, the successful candidate will be fully supported by internal sales people, company management and manufacturer product specialists.
