Job Description

TERRITORY SALES MANAGER

Our client supplies over 1.5 million technical and industrial professionals throughout the world. Worldwide an order is placed with them every 1.5 seconds, that's over 57,000 orders every day! Maintaining their success as a leading, worldwide, business-to-business distributor is an exciting challenge and one in which all their people have a part to play.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced sales professional with the ability and drive to develop a key sales area.

As a Territory Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in all customers within a closed geographic boundary and to exceed sales targets through effective territory management. Building productive relationships with contacts, you will be using in depth understanding of the company and the industry to position our client as their distributor of choice. In starting the role, you will be provided with excellent product training which will help you to exceed your sales targets.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Building constructive relationships with new and established accounts
  • Identification and exploitation of new business opportunities
  • Maintain and analyse financial and account database
  • Planning of work time ensuring sales calls are prioritised and professionally managed
  • Work effectively with account sales team

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Recognised technical qualification in mechanical/electrical/electronic engineering
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
  • Customer focus competencies and experiences are essential
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrable influencing skills
  • Proven problem solving and decision making skills
  • Selling, negotiating, report writing and time management skills are essential
  • Previous experience in an account management/sales environment
  • Flexibility and can demonstrate continuous improvement
  • Business and commercial awareness
