Responsible for: Sales of Linear Encoders (LE) and Digital Readout (DRO) / Scales in accordance with the requirements of the company’s sales and marketing strategy with the territory defined as Western Europe.
Duties & Responsibilities
Meet the sales targets and strategic sales growth objectives as defined by the business
Customer contact on at levels as required by the business, providing a representative of product and market knowledge.
Responsible for identifying new market sector and prospect activities for sales growth
Support the development and execution of the business strategy for LE
Supply reports as required to include monthly Information reports (MIR), budgets and forecasting
Identify, set-up and manage as required a network of LE and DRO regional dealers / distributors, communicating at various levels of aptitude for Machine Tool and Non Machine Tool markets.
Provide technical presentations, market feedback, exhibition, applications database / editorial and general marketing support to the company for the territory
Liaise and support all sales administration and service department activities as required for the territories customer support activity
Supply up to date competitor knowledge, product / pricing information and brochures ensuring competitive trading conditions are maintained
Overseas travel will be required within the region on a frequent basis
Support the introduction of CRM and maintain accurate records thereafter of all customer meetings, action items, and market knowledge
Maintain and report expenses in accordance with their Travel Expenses and Reporting Policy

Location
Based in the UK headquarters in Leicestershire, with the option for a candidate to work remotely (subject to agreement)
Skills and knowledge
Fluent French and English are a pre-requisite
A minimum of 8 years experience selling to the machine tool industry and the end user market
Knowledge of selling Linear Encoders or measuring equipment for machine tools
Computer literate
Education and Qualifications
HND (Engineering Master) in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent
HND (Engineering Master) in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Driving License is a pre requisite
The PersonThis key position requires an outgoing and positive sales person to work in a team capable of providing a positive contribution to the team goals. Cultural appreciation and experience for the countries within the territory would be advantageous.
Key words are conscientious, reliable, dedicated, persistent, personable, and trustworthy - A self-starter with ability to communicate well, written and verbally, at all customer levels.
