The client is a subsidiary of an international Group, with responsibility for EMEA. They are a successful and growing manufacturer and exporter of plant and capital equipment for the mining, construction, utilities and oil sector, predominately pumps. Due to its strengthening global presence, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Sales and Export Manager to strengthen its team and to build on existing customers. The Group has invested considerable sums into developing new products, which make the company a technical leader in its field.
The Head Office is based in East Anglia, however as the Manager is expected to be abroad for 50% of their time, this role can be largely home based. We are looking for an individual with experience of working with distributors in the Middle East, and Africa. End customers are typically multinational corporates, with product sales values ranging from £15k -£100k. Full product training will be given, thereafter the successful candidate will take on the role of Regional Sales Manager, running the day to day sales and marketing activities. The role will involve customer enquiry evaluation, product selection and tender preparation with an integral contribution to the subsequent sales cycle and agent / customer management.
The successful candidate will have experience of selling to and setting up distributor networks, ideally with capital equipment, and an engineering background would be useful. You will be highly ambitious and be looking to forge a significant role in a dynamic and forward thinking manufacturing and distribution company.
