Job Description

General Manager and Regional Sales Manager - UK and Europe 

The client is a SME subsidiary of an international Group, with responsibility for EMEA. They are a successful and growing manufacturer and exporter of plant and capital equipment for the mining, construction, utilities, plant hire and oil sector. Due to its strengthening global presence, they are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager to take responsibility for managing the UK operation and for increasing sales in the UK and in Europe, to both new and existing customers. The products are recognised as technically very high quality, if not a market leader, and the business has seen uninterrupted growth and profit throughout these challenging conditions.

The Head Office is based in East Anglia, and the Manager would be expected to be either travelling, for approximately 50% of their time, or in the office managing the business. We are looking for an individual with experience selling direct to end users and working with Distributors, both in the UK and Europe. Customers are typically large corporates, with product sales values ranging from £15k -£100k. Full product training will be given.

The role will involve customer enquiry evaluation, product selection and tender preparation with an integral contribution to the subsequent sales cycle and agent / customer management. You will also be responsible for ensuring fabrication cycles meet demand and quality is kept to the highest standards. Key Account management will also be important.

The successful candidate will have experience of selling to and setting up distributor networks, in the capital equipment sector, and as this is a technical product, an engineering background would be useful. You will be highly ambitious and be looking to forge a significant role in a dynamic and forward thinking and commercial business.
