Job Description

Technical Sales Estimator, Derbyshire

£24k - £26k + bonus, healthcare, 23 days holiday (increasing to 28 days)

The Company

My client is is a market leader withing the security solutions sector, encompassing door systems, access control, safe locks, hotel locking and locking systems.


The Role

  •  Working within a small team to provide accurate and timely estimates for reactive maintenance and new business with key account customers.
  • Establish contact and build relationships with contractors and nominated suppliers.
  • Liaise with all parties, including contractor's estimators throughout the process.
  • Provide advice, support and assistance on logistical matters and pricing.
  • Analysis of client's specification and conditions.
  • Preparation and pricing from bill of quantities.
  • Pricing materials and other requirements.
  • Compile and present detailed hand over information to the project management team.
  • Maintaining regular contact with contractors to follow up from initial estimate to secured order.
  • Establish identity of other contractors to maximise estimating/business opportunites.
  • Involvement in pre-award meetings.

The Candidate

  •  The successful candidate will be responsible, experienced, assertive and competently take ownership of his/her responsibilities and actions.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills.
  • You should be an excellent communicator with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative.
  • You will be a strong team player and have the ability to prioritise your work effectively as well as being able to multitask.
  • You will be enthusiastic, committed to exceptional levels of customer service and be open to opportunites to grow within the role and the organisation.
