Job Description

My client is a leading supplier of Pneumatics.

They are recruiting Indiirect Sales Engineers to cover various postcodes.

OBJECTIVE:To increase market share by seeking out, developing and maintaining Distributors for fluid power & motion control products, and to take responsibility for the best interests of our User base, which they serve; and to do so whilst maximizing personal productivity and cost-effectiveness.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

With the assistance of the Area Sales Manager and Distribution Business Development Manager, Action Plan the holon in accordance with the company’s sales policies and the Indirect Sales Engineer’s personal targets:

Produce, maintain and implement Action Plans for all direct trading Distributors
Ensure all distributors sign up to and maintain conformance with the Distribution Agreement.
Ensure service expectations of existing resale accounts are met, sales revenue and profitability is maximized and the contact network is maximized
Ensure all Distributor accounts are aggressively pursued to increase market share at the expense of competitor business
Identify, qualify and with the guidance of the RSM and Distribution BDM, open new distributor accounts
Help Distributors Action Plan, develop and maintain significant User accounts
Refer identified “User” accounts to the most suitable Distributor
Increase share through distributors by:

Maximizing joint-selling time with Distributor’s sales people
Ensure sufficient stocks are held by Distributors
Building one-to-one relationships with key customer contacts

Maximize sales to all accounts by selling across the whole product range:

Teach the features, benefits, options and applications for all catalogued products to Distributor’s Sales Engineers
Promote all New Products
Promote Simple, Engineered and Configured Special products
Engage Distributors in all product campaigns
Know the competition and their distribution channels and report on their capability and activity within the holon.

Maintain accurate, current and relevant records and submit reports punctually:

Maintain detailed records on the Distributor’s and User’s business & contact information within their Sales Force Automation (SFA)
Submit Call Reports for all customer-related activity within the SFA on a daily basis
Submit Activity and Marketing Reports on the SFA on a monthly basis
Communicate all sales related instructions to Sales Management and Head Office via the correct process
As required:

Attend sales meetings and training sessions as required
Attend Distributor’s sales meetings
Undertake any special projects that may be required
At all times:

Know and apply the company’s basic sales policies
Represent them in a professional manner to customers
Act to maximize personal productivity and personal cost-effectiveness
Maintain sufficient contact with other members of the organisation to ensure that good communications between customers and the Company are achieved
