Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client.

They are a leading engineering firm and need someone with a background in secondary steelwork and architectural metalwork.

You will be joining a team of six, and you must be a good team player.

You will be required to evaluate tenders, bill of quantity and submit quotations to meet client specifications.

An ability to take off steelwork quantities from engineering drawings is essential.

Position requires strong communicator with good inter-personal & organizational skills and ability to work through challenges.

Successful candidate will be both commercially and contractually knowledgeable and fully computer literate.

This role will occasionally require the successful candidate to visit clients, when this happens you will have access to a company car.

You will need to listen carefully to what the customer requires, be able to guide the customer and give advice when needed.

An attention to detail is vital

You must also have the ability to work on own initiative and work unsupervised.

You must have a full driving license with no more than 6 points in acceptable categories due to insurance reasons

This vacancy is to replace someone who has retired after being with the company for ten years.
