Business Development Manager - Oil & Gas. Scotland/ Aberdeen. Ref 3556
£45k salary, plus bonus package
The Company
- We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, tenacious Business Development Manager with Petrochem experience.
- Our client is an independently owned company, who operate internationally and have a reputation for high quality and constant innovation within their industry.
- You will be responsible for working with existing customers and new accounts within the Oil and Gas sector.
The Role
- Identify suitable projects and target leading players in the sector by continuous research and constant awareness in the market place.
- Generate enquiries, customer approval and secure sales, by direct customer contact.
- Pass back sales, develop and set up relationships with specialist distributors.
- Ability to truly identify needs, propose solutions, demonstrate advantages and secure new business.
- Autonomy to create and develop a start up role.
- Dealing with major pipeline contractors, subcontractors and fabricators.
- Provide continuous field intelligence on projects, competitor activity, prices, equipment, etc.
The Candidate
- Oil and Gas sector background, with knowledge of welding / pipeline equipment would be ideal.
- Career experience that has included engineering, product support, commercial and sales development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, flexible and responsive to needs of impeccable customer service.
- Commercially astute with financial appreciation.
- Articulate and numerate with strong and well practised negotiation skills
- Prepared to travel and spend periods away from home in the UK.
